The Velez Sarsfield fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erwin Huygens should have stopped the shot. In the 97th minute, Gaston Ávila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The 福建宁德活塞队 supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Velez Sarsfield's performance. The match ended with a win for Velez Sarsfield.
