Filomeno Montrell was slow to take the kick. During this time Velez Sarsfield's players had a chance to rest. In the 21st minute, Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Augusto Cordario in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal.
