In the 14th minute Arif Çelebi Ergener shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Charles Sauvaget saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean-Charles Sauvaget stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arif Çelebi Ergener's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute Tours Football Club were awarded a corner. Guy Jourdan went to the cornerflag to take it. Cellule's Jean-Charles Sauvaget played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arif Çelebi Ergener in the 21st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arif Çelebi Ergener in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jean-Charles Sauvaget prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arif Çelebi Ergener made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arif Çelebi Ergener in the 52nd minute of play forced Cellule's goalkeeper Jean-Charles Sauvaget to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
