In the 11th minute Serge Vielle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Pascal Weiss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. gipsy kings's Jean-Pascal Weiss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Rousselet in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Philippe Legrand was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. gipsy kings's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cellule the free kick. After 13 played minutes gipsy kings got a freekick which was hit by Philippe Legrand. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serge Vielle in the 15th minute of play forced gipsy kings's goalkeeper Jean-Pascal Weiss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Philippe Legrand was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 16 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, gipsy kings's Philippe Legrand got a free kick in the 16th minute. Grégoire Lamouroux charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Grégoire Lamouroux the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Serge Vielle took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jean-Pascal Weiss. Jean-Pascal Weiss dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 24th minute, Serge Vielle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jean-Pascal Weiss was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 28th minute, David Rousselet made a precise shot to the right of Jean-Pascal Weiss. gipsy kings's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Jean-Pascal Weiss didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Serge Vielle went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adil Albrecht in the 38th minute of play forced gipsy kings's goalkeeper Jean-Pascal Weiss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adil Albrecht scored 0-7 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jean-Pascal Weiss, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind gipsy kings's goalkeeper Jean-Pascal Weiss, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jean-Pascal Weiss came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Cellule's Serge Vielle. But to his dismay, Serge Vielle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. After the first half Cellule were leading 0-9. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Adil Albrecht received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jean-Pascal Weiss came out and tried to block the shot, but Adil Albrecht slotted it home off the left post making it 0-10 in the 56th minute. Jean-Pascal Weiss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adil Albrecht in the 59th minute of the match. Serge Vielle took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jean-Pascal Weiss. Jean-Pascal Weiss dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-11. In the 66th minute of the match, Serge Vielle got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jean-Pascal Weiss was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Serge Vielle came free with the goalkeeper in the 66th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jean-Pascal Weiss could save by the left post. Serge Vielle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Jean-Pascal Weiss made a huge save. Jean-Philippe Contal took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jean-Pascal Weiss. Jean-Pascal Weiss dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-13. Jean-Pascal Weiss made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serge Vielle in the 77th minute. Jean-Pascal Weiss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adil Albrecht, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute Jean-Philippe Contal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Pascal Weiss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean-Pascal Weiss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean-Philippe Contal, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Adil Albrecht had several of the gipsy kings's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 84 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-14 score and a disappointed Jean-Pascal Weiss as he didn't even see the shot coming. Oscar Goupil took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jean-Pascal Weiss. Jean-Pascal Weiss dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-15. The crowd rose to their feet as Cellule's Serge Vielle slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jean-Pascal Weiss. That made the score 0-16 after 93 minutes of play. gipsy kings's defense didn't have a chance, in the 97th minute, when Adil Albrecht scored to the left of an out of position Jean-Pascal Weiss, making the score, 0-17.
