Serge Vielle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Jean-Pascal Weiss made a huge save. Adil Albrecht received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jean-Pascal Weiss came out and tried to block the shot, but Adil Albrecht slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Cellule's Serge Vielle slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jean-Pascal Weiss. That made the score 3-0 after 15 minutes of play. In the 20th minute, Cellule's Jean-Philippe Contal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jean-Pascal Weiss. Jean-Pascal Weiss yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. In the 23rd minute, Serge Vielle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jean-Pascal Weiss was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 25th minute Adil Albrecht shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Pascal Weiss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean-Pascal Weiss was a little too slow when Adil Albrecht got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 6-0. 31 minutes into the game, Serge Vielle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Jean-Pascal Weiss was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 34th minute, Adil Albrecht made a precise shot to the right of Jean-Pascal Weiss. gipsy kings's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. In the 38th play minute Serge Vielle came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jean-Pascal Weiss. 9-0. In the 44th minute Adil Albrecht shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Pascal Weiss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Terry Pèlerin kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After 46th play minutes Serge Vielle shot 10-0, a short shot which went by Jean-Pascal Weiss and just under the crossbar into goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabrice Gamet to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Serge Vielle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jean-Pascal Weiss. gipsy kings's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Serge Vielle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 12-0. gipsy kings's Jean-Pascal Weiss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Rousselet in the 58th minute of play. Jean-Pascal Weiss came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Cellule's Adil Albrecht. But to his dismay, Adil Albrecht quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 13-0. Cellule's Hakim Caillaud was substituted for Pierre-Louis Berrier. After some careless play in the gipsy kings defense, Serge Vielle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jean-Pascal Weiss. The gipsy kings fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jean-Pascal Weiss should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serge Vielle in the 74th minute of play forced gipsy kings's goalkeeper Jean-Pascal Weiss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jean-Pascal Weiss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adil Albrecht in the 76th minute of play. gipsy kings's Jean-Pascal Weiss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serge Vielle in the 77th minute of play. Jean-Pascal Weiss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serge Vielle in the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute Adil Albrecht shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Pascal Weiss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean-Charles Sauvaget showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grégoire Lamouroux in the 82nd minute of the match. Jean-Pascal Weiss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavian Douet in the 83rd minute of play. Jean-Pascal Weiss came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Cellule's Adil Albrecht. But to his dismay, Adil Albrecht quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 15-0. In the 89th minute Adil Albrecht shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Pascal Weiss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, Cellule's Jean-Philippe Contal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jean-Pascal Weiss made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 16-0. Cellule's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
