Jean-Marc Taillefer came free with the goalkeeper in the 15th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jean-Pascal Weiss could save by the left post. Jean-Pascal Weiss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Greg Lequesne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, AC Cristal's Greg Lequesne got a free kick in the 21st minute. After having played for 22 minutes, Fabrice Gamet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. gipsy kings's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabrice Gamet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 23rd minute, Jean-Marc Taillefer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Greg Lequesne in the 26th minute of play forced gipsy kings's goalkeeper Jean-Pascal Weiss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, gipsy kings's goal looked a bit too open when Greg Lequesne came free, but Jean-Pascal Weiss reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amaury Leone's late challenge caught a AC Cristal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amaury Leone helped the player get up and apologised. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean-François Lajus couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Jean-François Lajus took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Jean-Pascal Weiss to make any attempt to save it. gipsy kings's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Jean-Marc Taillefer scored to the left of an out of position Jean-Pascal Weiss, making the score, 5-0. After a rather tough play, AC Cristal's Geoffrey Plaud got a free kick in the 44th minute. With a little luck, gipsy kings's Jean-Pascal Weiss got control of the ball when Jean-François Lajus tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jean-Pascal Weiss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greg Lequesne, who was totally free with the ball in the 49th minute.

After 70 minutes of play, AC Cristal's Jean-Marc Taillefer made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jean-Pascal Weiss was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jean-Marc Taillefer took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jean-Pascal Weiss.
