Renan Bouzat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute Cyrille Melon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renaud Carlo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute Ruben Zajac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Didier Lafargue saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Rosière FC's Ernesto Santana in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye R.C. Marseille's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Ernesto Santana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Didier Lafargue was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Renaud Carlo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyrille Melon in the 39th minute of play. Ruben Zajac struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Didier Lafargue didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rosière FC. Renaud Carlo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cyrille Melon in the 42nd minute. In the 46th minute, Adrien Costantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cyrille Melon was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, R.C. Marseille's Renan Bouzat got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 56thth minute of the game Cyrille Melon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rosière FC's Renaud Carlo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of R.C. Marseille booed when Rosière FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Gonzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luis Advíncula kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Renaud Carlo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cyrille Melon went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 69th minute Cyrille Melon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renaud Carlo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renaud Carlo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyrille Melon, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihail Toader in the 71st minute of play forced Rosière FC's goalkeeper Renaud Carlo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ernesto Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. R.C. Marseille's Djibril Mourot was substituted for Mihail Toader. Rosière FC made a substitution. German Kovshikov replaced Danny Aymes. Rosière FC's Teddy Garde was substituted for Ruben Zajac. Rosière FC's Ludwig Josef was substituted for Primitivo Gonzo. Didier Lafargue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Santana in the 76th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renan Bouzat in the 87th minute of play forced Rosière FC's goalkeeper Renaud Carlo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Didier Lafargue successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Renaud Carlo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Djibril Mourot in the 90th minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, R.C. Marseille's goalkeeper Didier Lafargue had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ludwig Josef. After a defensive mix-up in R.C. Marseille's zone, Teddy Garde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Didier Lafargue came out of the goal and Teddy Garde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the R.C. Marseille players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
