In the 8th minute Jonatan Aspvik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mounir Perry saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octave Debarre charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Octave Debarre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 9 played minutes Roncourt got a freekick which was hit by Octave Debarre. After some careless play in the Les diables noirs defense, Léon Cailleaux kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hermínio Penha. The Les diables noirs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hermínio Penha should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Les diables noirs's Darius Speed got a free kick in the 14th minute. Mounir Perry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steve Gabrielli, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. A collision led to Les diables noirs getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Camille Valli hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, Roncourt's Léon Cailleaux sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hermínio Penha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 24 minutes into the game, Léon Cailleaux cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Hermínio Penha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by J.P. Kapar in the 27th minute of play forced Les diables noirs's goalkeeper Hermínio Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hermínio Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Léon Cailleaux in the 28th minute of the match. Léon Cailleaux recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roncourt's Octave Debarre quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Darius Speed, made in the 34th minute of the game. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Les diables noirs's goalkeeper Hermínio Penha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hermínio Penha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Léon Cailleaux went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Léon Cailleaux took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hermínio Penha. Hermínio Penha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

52 minutes into the game, Roncourt's Léon Cailleaux nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hermínio Penha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Mounir Perry made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steve Gabrielli in the 55th minute of play. Mounir Perry made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duda Terra in the 57th minute of play. Hermínio Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Léon Cailleaux, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Léon Cailleaux struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Hermínio Penha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Roncourt. Roncourt made a substitution. Jean-Marc Kazmierczak replaced Léon Cailleaux. Roncourt's Romuald Benaissa was substituted for Horácio Larreta. Jean-Marc Kazmierczak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Hermínio Penha made a huge save. Léopold Guiraud kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 71stth minute of the game Jean-Marc Kazmierczak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Les diables noirs's Hermínio Penha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hermínio Penha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Marc Kazmierczak in the 75th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Les diables noirs's goalkeeper Hermínio Penha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jean-Marc Kazmierczak. In the 82nd minute of the game Darius Speed made a throw-in which Steve Gabrielli played forward. In the 93rd match minute, Roncourt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by J.P. Kapar to maneuver through the defense. Roncourt's Mounir Perry played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonatan Aspvik in the 94th minute of play. The Les diables noirs manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Roncourt to win.
