The audience thought a goal was coming when Steve Gabrielli got free with Jolan Galindo in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roch Felenak took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hermínio Penha. Hermínio Penha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. La Pointe Courte's attentive Dan Black managed to snatch the ball when Sammy Doumenc made a throw-in in the 19th minute of the game. With an all-out effort, Les diables noirs's Jolan Galindo threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Steve Gabrielli, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Roch Felenak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Les diables noirs's Hermínio Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roch Felenak in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute of the match La Pointe Courte got a corner. Les diables noirs's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Josué Pagueguy ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonatan Aspvik got free with Jolan Galindo in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A sloppy throw-in by Sammy Doumenc in the 32nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by La Pointe Courte's Josué Pagueguy. Hermínio Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roch Felenak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute La Pointe Courte were awarded a corner. Josué Pagueguy went to the cornerflag to take it. 41 minutes into the match, La Pointe Courte's Roch Felenak sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hermínio Penha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. La Pointe Courte's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Josué Pagueguy in the 44th minute. Les diables noirs's Hermínio Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roch Felenak in the 46th minute of play. After a rather tough play, La Pointe Courte's Alain Girault got a free kick in the 48th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roch Felenak was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, La Pointe Courte's goal looked a bit too open when Duda Terra came free, but Jolan Galindo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute, La Pointe Courte's Roch Felenak dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. During this time La Pointe Courte's players had a chance to rest. 72 minutes into the match, La Pointe Courte's goal looked a bit too open when Steve Gabrielli came free, but Jolan Galindo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of La Pointe Courte booed when Les diables noirs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sammy Doumenc didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hermínio Penha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Les diables noirs's Hermínio Penha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Les diables noirs from getting a goal against them. La Pointe Courte's Jolan Galindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonatan Aspvik in the 84th minute of play. Les diables noirs's Hermínio Penha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Les diables noirs from getting a goal against them. Hermínio Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gianluca Prestin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gianluca Prestin kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Although Les diables noirs had been in control for most of the match, La Pointe Courte still came away with the win.
