After a rather tough play, Santos's Hubert Heim got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 8th minute, Melvin Viallard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Rathmore Lime Tree's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Champenois came free, but Sofyane Valognes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ben Le Mestre received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sofyane Valognes came out and tried to block the shot, but Ben Le Mestre slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 18th minute. After having played for 24 minutes, Karim Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rathmore Lime Tree's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karim Cosme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Rathmore Lime Tree's Sofyane Valognes got control of the ball when Dove Bouillet tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sofyane Valognes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Champenois, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 35 minutes, Melvin Viallard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santos and the Rathmore Lime Tree players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th match minute, Santos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melvin Viallard to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th match minute, Rathmore Lime Tree was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Éloi Le Calvez to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Samir Gervasoni collided with one of Rathmore Lime Tree's players - so bad that he fractured his nose. After 40 minutes, Hervé Annette mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rathmore Lime Tree and the Santos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st minute, Hervé Annette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adil Magaud took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mathys Turban. Mathys Turban dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victor Champenois to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karim Cosme during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 53 played minutes Rathmore Lime Tree got a freekick which was hit by Karim Cosme. After 54 played minutes Rathmore Lime Tree got a freekick which was hit by Éloi Le Calvez. Rathmore Lime Tree made a substitution. Fernand Rouland replaced Karim Cosme. 62 minutes in the game Victor Mareau did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Faudel Villemin. Mathys Turban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jim Belloir in the 71st minute of play. Christophe Reibel charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christophe Reibel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 77th minute of the match Philippe Sévestre shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sofyane Valognes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 78th minute, Hervé Annette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victor Champenois sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Santos's zone, Fernand Rouland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mathys Turban came out of the goal and Fernand Rouland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mathys Turban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernand Rouland in the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernand Rouland in the 94th minute of play forced Santos's goalkeeper Mathys Turban to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
