The goal made the score 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Santos's goalkeeper Mathys Turban had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Samuel Izard. Mathys Turban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Izard, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. With a little luck, Santos's Mathys Turban got control of the ball when Samuel Izard tried to sneak it across the goal line. Santos's Philippe Sévestre got his second yellow card of the match in the 18th minute. The referee ordered Philippe Sévestre off the ground. Mathys Turban stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samuel Izard's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Melvin Viallard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tristan Bétourne having to interfere. A well-hit corner resulted in Ferhat Özsan heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Samuel Izard's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Mathys Turban skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The corner led Royal PSG's Flavien Villemin to fire away a dangerous shot which Mathys Turban despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A hard shot 46 in the game by Samuel Izard from a close distance when the talented Mathys Turban managed to make a qualified save. Santos's players were relieved. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Samuel Izard made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Samuel Izard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Royal PSG's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuel Izard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mathys Turban breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mathys Turban took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Izard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the match, Samuel Izard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mathys Turban. Santos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Samuel Izard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 61st minute, Samuel Izard made a precise shot to the right of Mathys Turban. Santos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 64th minute, Samuel Izard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Royal PSG fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. The supporters of Royal PSG booed when Santos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Mareau didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Royal PSG's Samuel Izard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mathys Turban narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Royal PSG were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Santos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Flavien Villemin took the corner. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Samuel Izard sped through Santos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mathys Turban. In the 75th minute, Samuel Izard made a precise shot to the right of Mathys Turban. Santos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Mathys Turban came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Royal PSG's Christophe Dureuil. But to his dismay, Christophe Dureuil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuel Izard in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mathys Turban prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Santos's Mathys Turban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Izard in the 86th minute of play. In the 88th minute Royal PSG were awarded a corner. Flavien Villemin went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Izard in the 93rd minute of play forced Santos's goalkeeper Mathys Turban to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
