Santos's Mathys Turban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bermund Arruda in the 29th minute of play. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Royal PSG's Fred Torres was substituted for Christophe Dureuil. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victor Champenois to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Samuel Izard took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Mathys Turban to make any attempt to save it. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Edoardo Filippini took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Mathys Turban to make any attempt to save it. Royal PSG's Ferhat Özsan managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Victor Mareau in the 67 minute of the game. Victor Mareau made in the 92nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ben Le Mestre. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edoardo Filippini got free with Mathys Turban in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mathys Turban was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Samuel Izard capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Samuel Izard really showed his touch with that goal: 0-9.
