When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Firman Morientes sped through Treigny's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eugène Legris. Eugène Legris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Firman Morientes in the 13th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Firman Morientes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The En Avant Nikko fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Eugène Legris came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by En Avant Nikko's Firman Morientes. But to his dismay, Firman Morientes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. After 31 minutes of play, En Avant Nikko's Gösta Sellberg made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugène Legris was left in no man's land by his defense there! Manuel Souris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugène Legris having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucien Ligier to make the kick off. En Avant Nikko's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilbert Reix was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Firman Morientes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eugène Legris stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Firman Morientes's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Firman Morientes put it in 0-12 from a short distance just to the right of Eugène Legris. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 0-15 when Firman Morientes sped through Treigny's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eugène Legris. 84 minutes into the match, Manuel Souris dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eugène Legris, 0-16. Eugène Legris made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Manuel Souris sent off a good shot on target. Treigny's Eugène Legris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Firman Morientes in the 92nd minute of play. Eugène Legris was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Manuel Souris showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-18 in the 93 minute of play. En Avant Nikko's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
