Marcos Diagur could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Steven Grenard made a huge save. With a little luck, Lambres's Steven Grenard got control of the ball when Marcos Diagur tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcos Diagur got free with Steven Grenard in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Steven Grenard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascal Ohlmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Lambres getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Brian Pontoizeau hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match, Lambres's goalkeeper Steven Grenard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Noureddine Faivre. With his leg Steven Grenard managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Algrange's Marcos Diagur fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Marcos Diagur sped through Lambres's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Steven Grenard. In the 25th minute Sofiane Fleurant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabien Barthez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute of the match Algrange got a corner. Lambres's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcos Diagur ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Noureddine Faivre almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lambres's Steven Grenard did a great save. Marcos Diagur could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Steven Grenard made a huge save. In the 29th minute, Brian Pontoizeau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcos Diagur got free with Steven Grenard in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 40 minutes into the match, Lambres's goalkeeper Steven Grenard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcos Diagur. Marcos Diagur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Brian Pontoizeau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabien Barthez having to interfere. Steven Grenard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregorio Laurentzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Steven Grenard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Diagur in the 69th minute of the match. If Gregorio Laurentzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Algrange made a substitution. Isaiah Simmons replaced Noureddine Faivre. Brian Pontoizeau hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Steven Grenard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicklas Lundgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Brian Pontoizeau charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brian Pontoizeau the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. There was no doubt that Algrange were the better team. Algrange's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
