Song Peng Xi started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Olympique Salonais's goalkeeper Raymond Foubert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bacary Kerneis. Song Peng Xi scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Clem Fath, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Song Peng Xi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bogdan Bambas got free with Raymond Foubert in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35thth minute of the game Bogdan Bambas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olympique Salonais's Raymond Foubert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cosa nostra Lyon's Zé Moreno was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Raymond Foubert in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Raymond Foubert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Bambas in the 45th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bogdan Bambas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Raymond Foubert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogdan Bambas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rd minute Bogdan Bambas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Foubert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bogdan Bambas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raymond Foubert having to make a save. Clem Fath showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Song Peng Xi in the 68th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Song Peng Xi in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clem Fath prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Olympique Salonais made a substitution. Cheng Feng replaced Romain Blet. Olympique Salonais's Hilario Chale was substituted for Hector Etxepare. Olympique Salonais's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tang Xi Zhen in the 72nd minute. Raymond Foubert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Rivera in the 78th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Tang Xi Zhen could shoot a difficult shot in the 81st minute, which Clem Fath however easily saved by the left post. In the 85th minute, Bacary Kerneis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cosa nostra Lyon made a substitution. Hercule Frison replaced Bacary Kerneis. The supporters of Olympique Salonais booed when Cosa nostra Lyon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bacary Kerneis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eduardo Cossa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clem Fath having to interfere. After 89 played minutes Cosa nostra Lyon got a freekick which was hit by Florian Lardenois. Tang Xi Zhen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th match minute, Olympique Salonais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Song Peng Xi to maneuver through the defense. The Cosa nostra Lyon fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when Cosa nostra Lyon's José Rivera looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cosa nostra Lyon's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
