With a little luck, Cosa nostra Lyon's Clem Fath got control of the ball when Gregorio Laurentzi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pascal Ohlmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Clem Fath made a huge save. 18 minutes into the match, Cosa nostra Lyon's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Diagur came free, but Clem Fath reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcos Diagur kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Clem Fath. That made the score 2-0 in the 32 minute of play. Pascal Ohlmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Clem Fath made a huge save. In the 38th match minute, Cosa nostra Lyon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tim Ménet to maneuver through the defense. In the 41stth minute of the game Erwann Patrice who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Algrange's Fabien Barthez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bogdan Bambas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Fabien Barthez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

After a rather tough play, Cosa nostra Lyon's Erwann Patrice got a free kick in the 55th minute. Clem Fath made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Diagur in the 55th minute of play. If Bogdan Bambas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fabien Barthez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bogdan Bambas in the 84th minute. Fabien Barthez was a little too slow when Erwann Patrice got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 3-1. Tim Ménet hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The Algrange fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Algrange's Noureddine Faivre looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
