Marty Byrde's late challenge caught a Lyon Olympique 69's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marty Byrde helped the player get up and apologised. If Cezar Nișu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ignacy Milan came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Lyon Olympique 69's Cezar Nișu. But to his dismay, Cezar Nișu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Lyon Olympique 69 getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Kai Wilzek hit a great ball. Manuel Espagnet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stanislas Mazy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ignacy Milan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 36th minute Marty Byrde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Espagnet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Espagnet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marty Byrde, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The wind increased when Cezar Nișu made the kick off in the second half. Ignacy Milan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cezar Nișu in the 52nd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the game, Cezar Nișu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ignacy Milan. Cezar Nișu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Ignacy Milan acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 59th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Toni Dean. In the 61st minute Lyon Olympique 69 were awarded a corner. Toni Dean went to the cornerflag to take it. Lyon Olympique 69's Cezar Nișu got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute of the match, Cezar Nișu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ignacy Milan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 67 minutes into the match, Lyon Olympique 69's Cezar Nișu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ignacy Milan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, Lyon Olympique 69's goal looked a bit too open when Marty Byrde came free, but Manuel Espagnet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute Cezar Nișu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacy Milan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Union Sportive Modane's Stanislas Mazy got a free kick in the 76th minute. Manuel Espagnet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanislas Mazy in the 78th minute of the match. Manuel Espagnet came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Union Sportive Modane's Robin Briatte. But to his dismay, Robin Briatte quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. When Lyon Olympique 69's Cezar Nișu in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Union Sportive Modane's goalie prevented a goal. Manuel Espagnet came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Union Sportive Modane's Robin Briatte. But to his dismay, Robin Briatte quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Ignacy Milan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cezar Nișu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 93 minute of play. The Lyon Olympique 69 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
