Despite this Raymond Foubert quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Song Peng Xi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pascal Ohlmann's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Raymond Foubert firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Song Peng Xi came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Olympique Salonais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Song Peng Xi couldn't finish the play. Marcos Diagur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Raymond Foubert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romain Blet in the 33rd minute of play forced Algrange's goalkeeper Fabien Barthez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raymond Foubert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicklas Lundgren in the 35th minute of the match. Algrange's Fabien Barthez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Song Peng Xi in the 39th minute of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Zheng Liang Song managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olympique Salonais's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zheng Liang Song was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute of the match, Nicklas Lundgren tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Raymond Foubert saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 46th minute Marcos Diagur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Foubert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raymond Foubert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Diagur in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Nicklas Lundgren made a precise shot to the right of Raymond Foubert. Olympique Salonais's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0.

The wind increased when Pascal Ohlmann made the kick off in the second half. Raymond Foubert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascal Ohlmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After 56 played minutes Olympique Salonais got a freekick which was hit by Hector Etxepare. Olympique Salonais made a substitution. Hilario Chale replaced Hector Etxepare. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
