Perthes United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timoteo Erosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hercule Basque struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Jim Bannatyne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Perthes United. Pélicans FC's Jim Bannatyne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rayanne Ros in the 14th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Hercule Basque cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jim Bannatyne was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 26 minutes into the game, Timoteo Erosa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jim Bannatyne. Timoteo Erosa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Pélicans FC's Jim Bannatyne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timoteo Erosa in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hercule Basque in the 33rd minute of play forced Pélicans FC's goalkeeper Jim Bannatyne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Perthes United's Rayanne Ros was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 34th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Jim Bannatyne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rayanne Ros in the 44th minute of play. Jean-Marie Sanquer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stanislas Bagot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Perthes United's Octave Langevin got a free kick in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

If Marc-Aurèle Nortier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Perthes United booed when Pélicans FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anatole Le Lay didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 minutes, Édouard Vie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Perthes United and the Pélicans FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Stanislas Bagot's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jean-Marie Sanquer firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jim Bannatyne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timoteo Erosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Pélicans FC's Jim Bannatyne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timoteo Erosa in the 66th minute of play. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Perthes United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Silverio Dino was slow to take the kick. During this time Pélicans FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Pélicans FC's Silverio Dino to fire away a dangerous shot which Jean-Marie Sanquer despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jim Bannatyne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hercule Basque in the 71st minute of the match. After 74 minutes, Timoteo Erosa made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Pélicans FC's Jim Bannatyne tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jean-Marie Sanquer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anatole Le Lay's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. After 79 minutes, Anatole Le Lay made it 6-1 with a short kick to the right side. Perthes United's Jean-Marie Sanquer tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Anatole Le Lay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Jean-Marie Sanquer made a huge save. 85 minutes into the match, Pélicans FC's goal looked a bit too open when Loïc Curt came free, but Jim Bannatyne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the game, Patrice Lambolez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Perthes United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pélicans FC the free kick. The supporters of Pélicans FC booed when Perthes United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrice Lambolez didn't get a good kick on the ball.
