Spectators: 165 (Terracing: 124, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jules Spinelli started the match with the kick off. In the 6thth minute of the game Jules Spinelli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but massïlia's Pavel Chivu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Les 3 Quilles FC's Jules Spinelli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pavel Chivu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Jules Spinelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pavel Chivu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jules Spinelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After having played with Les 3 Quilles FC's defense Louison Le Boucher in the 18th minute fired away a shot at goal just outside the top left corner. A bit more spin and it would have been a certain goal. Pavel Chivu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jules Spinelli in the 21st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jules Spinelli in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pavel Chivu saved massïlia from getting behind. 24 minutes into the match, massïlia's goal looked a bit too open when Jules Spinelli came free, but Pavel Chivu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th match minute, massïlia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matheo Claret to maneuver through the defense. Pavel Chivu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jules Spinelli in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, massïlia's goal looked a bit too open when Jules Spinelli came free, but Pavel Chivu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sylvain Picaut during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Jules Spinelli put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Pavel Chivu. Pavel Chivu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jules Spinelli went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After the first half Les 3 Quilles FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jochen Sommerhalder stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tristan Vicente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Louison Le Boucher, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After some careless play in the Les 3 Quilles FC defense, Louison Le Boucher kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tristan Vicente. The Les 3 Quilles FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tristan Vicente should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zbyszek Kapelski in the 60th minute of play forced massïlia's goalkeeper Pavel Chivu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Les 3 Quilles FC's Pavel Chivu threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rick Grimes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 63 minutes in the game, Rick Grimes dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 65th minute Jules Spinelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Chivu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Les 3 Quilles FC's Enzo Martino was substituted for Özcan Sulasi. After 67 minutes massïlia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aílton Zonta who took care of the corner kick. Aílton Zonta made a great header on Les 3 Quilles FC's corner, it was just that massïlia's Pavel Chivu managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to massïlia getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Patrice Lelarge hit a great ball. Les 3 Quilles FC made a substitution. Éric Contreras replaced Aílton Zonta. After 71 played minutes massïlia got a freekick which was hit by Patrice Lelarge. After 74 played minutes Les 3 Quilles FC got a freekick which was hit by Renato Civelli. Joseph Leperlier struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Tristan Vicente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for massïlia. Tristan Vicente stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jochen Sommerhalder's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jules Spinelli in the 81st minute of play forced massïlia's goalkeeper Pavel Chivu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pavel Chivu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rick Grimes in the 82nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rick Grimes got free with Pavel Chivu in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jules Spinelli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pavel Chivu having to make a save. Pavel Chivu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jules Spinelli showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 87 minute of play. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for massïlia! Pavel Chivu had in the 93rdth minute some difficulties stopping Rick Grimes's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Jules Spinelli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pavel Chivu having to make a save. Pavel Chivu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jules Spinelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Les 3 Quilles FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
