Ognyan Klyashev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theo Chaput having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Football Wizards 59's goal looked a bit too open when Noël Chamayou came free, but Spyros Chatzakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th match minute, Étoile du Sud was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thierry Henri to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Football Wizards 59 getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Francesco Andreola hit a great ball. Ludomir Tipinski hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Theo Chaput showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franklin Sarron, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. But to his dismay, Franklin Sarron quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Étoile du Sud's Marin Angibaud was substituted for Johan Kjellbom. The long shot by Marin Angibaud in the 76th minute really tested Spyros Chatzakos's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Gökçen Harmancı blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Theo Chaput having to make a save. When Gökçen Harmancı fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Football Wizards 59's protests and gave Gökçen Harmancı a yellow card for diving instead.
