The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Daryl Cottineau was slow to take the kick. During this time Étoile du Sud's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Daryl Cottineau almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Saint Côme de Fresné's Noël Péret did a great save. After 33 played minutes Saint Côme de Fresné got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Gibert. Thierry Henri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humberto Grabiel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Gibert, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Ruben Bénier made a great header on Saint Côme de Fresné's corner, it was just that Étoile du Sud's Humberto Grabiel managed to reach the ball for a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joaquim Gibert was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Étoile du Sud booed when Saint Côme de Fresné was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Édouard Guet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mario Ba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Karl Touzard hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 56 minutes into the match, Saint Côme de Fresné's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Ba came free, but Noël Péret reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Étoile du Sud booed when Saint Côme de Fresné was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Gibert didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Daryl Cottineau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Étoile du Sud's supporters rose to their feet, but Daryl Cottineau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Noël Péret breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mario Ba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 94 minutes, Mario Ba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Étoile du Sud's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Ba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute, Jérémy Le Boucher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Étoile du Sud had played much better football throughout.
