After a rather tough play, Étoile du Sud's Daryl Cottineau got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Spyros Chatzakos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jérôme Couvelard in the 6th minute. After taking down the ball on Étoile du Sud's corner Ludomir Tipinski fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Spyros Chatzakos quite easily take care of the ball. Ognyan Klyashev might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Humberto Grabiel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ognyan Klyashev ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Franklin Sarron's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Humberto Grabiel was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Spyros Chatzakos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jérôme Couvelard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franck Courault sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the game, Football Wizards 59's Ognyan Klyashev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Humberto Grabiel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Jérôme Couvelard came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Étoile du Sud fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jérôme Couvelard couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jérôme Couvelard in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Spyros Chatzakos saved Football Wizards 59 from getting behind. Gökçen Harmancı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Grabiel having to interfere. When Jérôme Couvelard came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Étoile du Sud fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jérôme Couvelard couldn't finish the play. Bastien Granet kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After the first half Football Wizards 59 were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Franklin Sarron made the kick off in the second half. Étoile du Sud's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Gökçen Harmancı scored to the left of an out of position Humberto Grabiel, making the score, 0-2. 55 minutes into the match, Football Wizards 59's goal looked a bit too open when Jérôme Couvelard came free, but Spyros Chatzakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ognyan Klyashev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Humberto Grabiel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilbert Paciuszko went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. A collision led to Étoile du Sud getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Bastien Granet hit a great ball. Gilbert Paciuszko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Spyros Chatzakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daryl Cottineau in the 70th minute of the match. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Étoile du Sud's goalkeeper Humberto Grabiel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Football Wizards 59's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gilbert Paciuszko in the 75th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Étoile du Sud's goalie and right to Ognyan Klyashev. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Étoile du Sud's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 78 minutes into the match, Franklin Sarron notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Étoile du Sud's Humberto Grabiel. Humberto Grabiel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Daryl Cottineau came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Étoile du Sud fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daryl Cottineau couldn't finish the play. 83 minutes into the match, Étoile du Sud's goalkeeper Humberto Grabiel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ognyan Klyashev. Melvin Verin lost his temper 85 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 85th minute, one of Étoile du Sud:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Étoile du Sud.
