With an all-out effort, Étoile du Sud's Thibaut Hidalgo threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Daryl Cottineau, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Étoile du Sud's goalkeeper Humberto Grabiel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thibaut Hidalgo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daryl Cottineau in the 44th minute of play. Humberto Grabiel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yves Sévestre in the 46th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the game, Davy Lapierre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Étoile du Sud's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Drep the free kick. A collision led to Étoile du Sud getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Davy Lapierre hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Yves Sévestre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Drep's supporters rose to their feet, but Yves Sévestre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Grabiel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yves Sévestre to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 60 minutes, Yves Sévestre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ludomir Tipinski kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Étoile du Sud's Humberto Grabiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Pierre Magnet in the 97th minute of play. Drep's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
