Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Latif Biçim got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Azul Y Plomo's zone, Jérémie Sarmiento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zacarias Cabrero came out of the goal and Jérémie Sarmiento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Johnny Ibarra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector-Luis Arzola, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jérémie Sarmiento in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zacarias Cabrero saved Azul Y Plomo from getting behind. 11 minutes into the game, Jérémie Sarmiento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Zacarias Cabrero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jérémie Sarmiento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Zacarias Cabrero made a huge save. Jérémie Sarmiento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zacarias Cabrero having to make a save. Azul Y Plomo's Zacarias Cabrero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jérémie Sarmiento in the 18th minute of play. Zacarias Cabrero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jérémie Sarmiento in the 20th minute of the match. Ecuador's Johnny Ibarra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector-Luis Arzola in the 26th minute of play. Johnny Ibarra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector-Luis Arzola, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jérémie Sarmiento in the 31st minute of play forced Azul Y Plomo's goalkeeper Zacarias Cabrero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zacarias Cabrero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jérémie Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jérémie Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 40th minute Jérémie Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Cabrero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Latif Biçim came free, but Johnny Ibarra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zacarias Cabrero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jérémie Sarmiento in the 43rd minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Azul Y Plomo's goal looked a bit too open when Jérémie Sarmiento came free, but Zacarias Cabrero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Azul Y Plomo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Intriago Herquinigo took the corner. José Macías sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador made a substitution. Lorenzo Acutain replaced Urko Solbeida. Ecuador's Ismael Blanco was substituted for Washington Piedrahita. After 89 minutes of play, Ecuador's Jérémie Sarmiento made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zacarias Cabrero was left in no man's land by his defense there!
