With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boris Zamiralov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the match, Romania's goalkeeper Niculae Ailenei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pilip Mikhailov. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Romania would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
