Burgh HC's Alex Toolenaar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Bidari in the 43rd minute of play. Santiago Bilintx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Otten, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. If Edward Otten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Burgh HC's Rik Tellingen was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Santiago Bilintx in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alberto Piearres kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Famaillá AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Robben came free, but Santiago Bilintx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64thth minute of the game Edward Otten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Famaillá AFC's Santiago Bilintx was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Famaillá AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Burgh HC the free kick. A collision led to Famaillá AFC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Alberto Piearres hit a great ball. 78 minutes into the match, Famaillá AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Otten came free, but Santiago Bilintx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute, Henk Paauwe sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Famaillá AFC's Santiago Bilintx didn't even have to move. Edward Robben received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Santiago Bilintx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Famaillá AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Burgh HC.
