Simon Bowmaker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Franco having to interfere. Guillermo Gonsalve didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lloyd McCamie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillermo Gonsalve, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute, Miles McKinnell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bradley McKellaigh's late challenge caught a San lorenzo de Santa fe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bradley McKellaigh helped the player get up and apologised. After 37 played minutes Helensburgh FC got a freekick which was hit by Bradley McKellaigh. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Aurre in the 38th minute of play forced Helensburgh FC's goalkeeper Lloyd McCamie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Miles McKinnell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Johnny McCalman hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geronimo Cordarryl to strike the kick off in the second half. Lloyd McCamie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geronimo Cordarryl in the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute, Guillermo Gonsalve made a precise shot to the right of Lloyd McCamie. Helensburgh FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Juan Franco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 66th match minute, Helensburgh FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miles McKinnell to maneuver through the defense. Cecilio Aurre, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Helensburgh FC's attentive Simon Bowmaker managed to snatch the ball when Gavino Boniel made a throw-in in the 78th minute of the game. Simon Bowmaker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juan Franco having to make a save. In the 80th minute, Bradley McKellaigh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee ignored San lorenzo de Santa fe's protests and gave Gavino Boniel a yellow card for diving instead. Rick Donleavy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Helensburgh FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Simon Bowmaker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Juan Franco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Helensburgh FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
