The player immediately received a yellow card. Lê Minh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Burgh HC fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Burgh HC's Edward Otten looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Edward Otten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Bay having to interfere. Lê Minh who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Alex Toolenaar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Trần Bay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Otten, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 26thth minute of the game Edward Otten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Đông Á Thanh Hóa FC's Trần Bay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Edward Otten managed to get in a good position for a shot. Burgh HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Edward Otten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trần Bay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 31 played minutes Burgh HC got a freekick which was hit by Henk Paauwe. After a defensive mix-up in Burgh HC's zone, Lê Minh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex Toolenaar came out of the goal and Lê Minh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hồ Mai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Trần Bay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Otten, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Edward Robben took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Trần Bay. Trần Bay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Đông Á Thanh Hóa FC's Trần Bay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Otten in the 45th minute of play. Burgh HC's Alex Toolenaar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Burgh HC from getting a goal against them. The Đông Á Thanh Hóa FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Burgh HC were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edward Otten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hồ Mai kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Edward Robben fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Trần Bay, passed just outside the right post. Alex Toolenaar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lê Minh, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. When Edward Otten came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Burgh HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Otten couldn't finish the play. Edward Robben sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th match minute, Đông Á Thanh Hóa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hồ Mai to maneuver through the defense. Henk Paauwe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Trần Bay having to make a save. Trần Bay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edward Otten's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. In the 82nd minute, Burgh HC's Edward Otten dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Trần Bay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Otten in the 87th minute of the match. Trần Bay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edward Otten's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Burgh HC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
