If Sidney Dunn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Geronimo Cordarryl put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Dale Nelson. Guillermo Gonsalve's late challenge caught a AFC Wimbledon Wombles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
