Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Geronimo Cordarryl kicked off to start the match. If Nicholas Joynes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicholas Joynes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Juan Franco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. San lorenzo de Santa fe's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Nicholas Joynes scored to the left of an out of position Juan Franco, making the score, 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Fowey FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guillermo Gonsalve came free, but Mickey Bramble reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, San lorenzo de Santa fe's Gavino Boniel got a free kick in the 15th minute. After 16 minutes, David Beckett mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fowey FC and the San lorenzo de Santa fe players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of San lorenzo de Santa fe booed when Fowey FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Beckett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicholas Joynes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Franco having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Deon Rice was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fowey FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San lorenzo de Santa fe the free kick. Mickey Bramble stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Geronimo Cordarryl's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicholas Joynes in the 24th minute of play forced San lorenzo de Santa fe's goalkeeper Juan Franco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in San lorenzo de Santa fe's zone, Nicholas Joynes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Franco came out of the goal and Nicholas Joynes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fowey FC's Nat Connor got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zeledon Shepherd made in the 37th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Virgilio Nabar immediately put the ball in play. 40 minutes into the match, Geronimo Cordarryl notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Fowey FC's Mickey Bramble. Mickey Bramble was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mickey Bramble took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Gonsalve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicholas Joynes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Juan Franco made a huge save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicholas Joynes to make the kick off. Zeledon Shepherd made in the 52nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Virgilio Nabar immediately put the ball in play. Juan Franco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nat Connor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Nat Connor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fowey FC's Nicholas Joynes got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 70 played minutes San lorenzo de Santa fe got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Shepherd. Mickey Bramble showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillermo Gonsalve in the 73rd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Fowey FC's goalkeeper Mickey Bramble had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gavino Boniel. Fowey FC were furious when Adrian Barat was red carded, 76 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Mickey Bramble made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Guillermo Gonsalve sent off a good shot on target. Guillermo Gonsalve could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Mickey Bramble made a huge save. In the 82nd minute, Geronimo Cordarryl ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mickey Bramble was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Nat Connor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. San lorenzo de Santa fe's attentive Gavino Boniel managed to snatch the ball when Calvin Beckett made a throw-in in the 93rd minute of the game. The San lorenzo de Santa fe supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing San lorenzo de Santa fe would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
