Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Steven McGrowther kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolae Plopșor in the 3rd minute of play forced Helensburgh FC's goalkeeper Lloyd McCamie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Cere's goal looked a bit too open when Steven McGrowther came free, but Codrin Vrabie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute, Lucian Huțupan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lloyd McCamie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucian Huțupan in the 13th minute of play. Miles McKinnell struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Codrin Vrabie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Helensburgh FC. In the 17th match minute, Cere was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihail Zogreanu to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Steven McGrowther in the 18th minute really tested Codrin Vrabie's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicolae Plopșor during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 26 minutes into the match, Helensburgh FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vali Enoiu came free, but Lloyd McCamie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Cere booed when Helensburgh FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronald Alcock didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steven McGrowther was extremely unlucky when he, in the 31st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Steven McGrowther had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Helensburgh FC's Steven McGrowther in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cere's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Helensburgh FC booed when Cere was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toader Bacanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Cere getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Toader Bacanu hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Rick Donleavy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Helensburgh FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rick Donleavy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Codrin Vrabie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Helensburgh FC's Steven McGrowther slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Codrin Vrabie. That made the score 2-0 after 44 minutes of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucian Huțupan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Helensburgh FC getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Johnny McCalman hit a great ball. Lloyd McCamie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vali Enoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Cere's Codrin Vrabie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steven McGrowther in the 53rd minute of play. Codrin Vrabie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steven McGrowther, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Codrin Vrabie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steven McGrowther in the 60th minute of the match. After having played for 68 minutes, Miles McKinnell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Helensburgh FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miles McKinnell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucian Huțupan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lloyd McCamie firmly grabbed it by the left post. Steven McGrowther struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Codrin Vrabie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Helensburgh FC. Codrin Vrabie came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Helensburgh FC's Steven McGrowther. But to his dismay, Steven McGrowther quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Miles McKinnell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Codrin Vrabie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Codrin Vrabie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steven McGrowther in the 83rd minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, Toader Bacanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cere's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Helensburgh FC the free kick. After 83 played minutes Cere got a freekick which was hit by Toader Bacanu. Codrin Vrabie came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Helensburgh FC's Simon Bowmaker. But to his dismay, Simon Bowmaker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 95th minute, Steven McGrowther ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Codrin Vrabie was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. There was no doubt that Helensburgh FC were the better team. Helensburgh FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
