Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nicholas Joynes made the kick off which started today's match. After some careless play in the Fowey FC defense, Edward Otten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mickey Bramble. The Fowey FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mickey Bramble should have stopped the shot. Alex Toolenaar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicholas Joynes in the 9th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Burgh HC's Reinhard Bas seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Reinhard Bas the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Burgh HC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Reinhard Bas had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Burgh HC! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnold Koops during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arnold Koops hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Alex Toolenaar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicholas Joynes, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute, David Beckett left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fowey FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Nicholas Joynes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edward Robben fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mickey Bramble having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Burgh HC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicholas Joynes came free, but Alex Toolenaar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes in the game, Nicholas Joynes fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alex Toolenaar having to interfere. Alex Toolenaar made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Nicholas Joynes sent off a good shot on target. Henk Paauwe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mickey Bramble having to interfere.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edward Robben made a kick off. A collision led to Fowey FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Deon Rice hit a great ball. Edward Robben's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mickey Bramble read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute Burgh HC were awarded a corner. Rik Tellingen went to the cornerflag to take it. Rik Tellingen made a great header on Burgh HC's corner, it was just that Fowey FC's Mickey Bramble managed to reach the ball for a save. Arnold Koops hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Alex Toolenaar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calvin Beckett, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Edward Robben's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mickey Bramble firmly grabbed it by the left post. Nat Connor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Toolenaar having to interfere. Edward Robben kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 73rdth minute. Though ot was a great shot Fowey FC's keeper Mickey Bramble was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 77th match minute, Fowey FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ron Stonehouse to maneuver through the defense. When Nicholas Joynes came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Fowey FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicholas Joynes couldn't finish the play. Roy Bourne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Alex Toolenaar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicholas Joynes in the 87th minute of play forced Burgh HC's goalkeeper Alex Toolenaar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jamie Berryman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Toolenaar having to interfere. Arnold Koops recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex Toolenaar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calvin Beckett in the 93rd minute of the match. When Job Wieringh fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Burgh HC's protests and gave Job Wieringh a yellow card for diving instead. Job Wieringh hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicholas Joynes in the 95th minute of play forced Burgh HC's goalkeeper Alex Toolenaar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fowey FC fully deserved thier win.
