After 18 minutes, Huey Hughes made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Famaillá AFC's Santiago Bilintx tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Famaillá AFC defense, Trevor Kempson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santiago Bilintx. The Famaillá AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santiago Bilintx should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, K.S.V Waregem's Huey Hughes got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 27 minutes into the match, Crispin Hepburn notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Famaillá AFC's Santiago Bilintx. Santiago Bilintx was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Huey Hughes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Huey Hughes made a kick off. After 60 minutes, Huey Hughes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the K.S.V Waregem and the Famaillá AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A hard shot 63 in the game by Huey Hughes from a close distance when the talented Santiago Bilintx managed to make a qualified save. Famaillá AFC's players were relieved. Alberto Piearres's late challenge caught a K.S.V Waregem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Piearres helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th match minute, Famaillá AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Piearres to maneuver through the defense. When Baldomiro Chaime fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Famaillá AFC's protests and gave Baldomiro Chaime a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th minute, Baldomiro Chaime hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee gave Crispin Hepburn a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 77 played minutes K.S.V Waregem got a freekick which was hit by Crispin Hepburn. K.S.V Waregem's Huey Hughes got his second yellow card of the match in the 78th minute. The referee ordered Huey Hughes off the ground. In the 78th match minute, K.S.V Waregem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Huey Hughes to maneuver through the defense. Toby Topham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomiro Chaime, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Adrian Claydon managed to get in a good position for a shot. K.S.V Waregem's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrian Claydon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santiago Bilintx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
