When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Huey Hughes sped through Burgh HC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alex Toolenaar. Toby Topham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnold Koops in the 9th minute of the match. In the 14th match minute, Burgh HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans-Cees Janssens to maneuver through the defense. After 16 minutes of play, K.S.V Waregem's Huey Hughes made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alex Toolenaar was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edward Otten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. K.S.V Waregem's Toby Topham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Otten in the 26th minute of play. In the 32nd minute of the match Mitch Leach sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alex Toolenaar skillfully saved the ball. K.S.V Waregem's Huey Hughes got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, K.S.V Waregem's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Robben came free, but Toby Topham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Huey Hughes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toby Topham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edward Robben's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. When Brian Barat fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored K.S.V Waregem's protests and gave Brian Barat a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th match minute, K.S.V Waregem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brian Barat to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Otten in the 46th minute of play forced K.S.V Waregem's goalkeeper Toby Topham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Edward Otten made the kick off in the second half. Alex Toolenaar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trevor Kempson in the 52nd minute of play. K.S.V Waregem's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Matty Bridge in the 53rd minute. 56 minutes into the game, Pat Bowe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. K.S.V Waregem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Burgh HC the free kick. After 56 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for K.S.V Waregem! When the match had been going on for 58 minutes, Burgh HC's Rik Tellingen got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Toby Topham. In the 60th match minute, Burgh HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edward Robben to maneuver through the defense. Huey Hughes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Alex Toolenaar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Huey Hughes in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alex Toolenaar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alex Toolenaar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Huey Hughes in the 67th minute of the match. In the 70th minute of the match Pat Bowe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alex Toolenaar skillfully saved the ball. In the 83rd minute of the match, Henk Paauwe tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Toby Topham saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Burgh HC's Alex Toolenaar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Huey Hughes in the 88th minute of play. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Burgh HC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Matty Bridge was slow to take the kick. During this time K.S.V Waregem's players had a chance to rest. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edward Robben during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Burgh HC's Edward Robben got a free kick in the 90th minute. When Matty Bridge came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the K.S.V Waregem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matty Bridge couldn't finish the play. Alex Toolenaar didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when K.S.V Waregem's Huey Hughes shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 6-1 in the ordered_time% minute.
