Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nicholas Joynes took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rdth minute of the game David Beckett who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFC Wimbledon Wombles's Dale Nelson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 4th match minute, AFC Wimbledon Wombles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daryl Fairs to maneuver through the defense. Nicholas Joynes might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dale Nelson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicholas Joynes ran back to his position shaking his head. Jamie Berryman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dale Nelson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. After 8 minutes, David Beckett mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fowey FC and the AFC Wimbledon Wombles players grew even worse after the yellow card. David Beckett hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. A collision led to Fowey FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Deon Rice hit a great ball. AFC Wimbledon Wombles's Brendon Crouch got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. AFC Wimbledon Wombles's Dale Nelson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicholas Joynes in the 11th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Fowey FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Beckett to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the game, Nicholas Joynes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Dale Nelson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wes Wills sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 31st minute, Nicholas Joynes made a precise shot to the right of Dale Nelson. AFC Wimbledon Wombles's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 34th minute Brendon Crouch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mickey Bramble saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Calvin Beckett was extremely unlucky when he, in the 35th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Nicholas Joynes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Dale Nelson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jamie Berryman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jon Newman was the one to do the kick off. If Nat Connor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 58 minutes, Roy Bourne mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fowey FC and the AFC Wimbledon Wombles players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th match minute, Fowey FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roy Bourne to maneuver through the defense. Brendon Crouch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute, Jamie Berryman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of AFC Wimbledon Wombles booed when Fowey FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daryl Sissons didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mickey Bramble showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wes Wills, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. If Nicholas Joynes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jon Newman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Mickey Bramble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of AFC Wimbledon Wombles booed when Fowey FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Bourne didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute, Ron Stonehouse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nat Connor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Dale Nelson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mickey Bramble made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jon Newman in the 82nd minute. Ron Stonehouse's late challenge caught a AFC Wimbledon Wombles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ron Stonehouse helped the player get up and apologised. Ron Stonehouse hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. If Nicholas Joynes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd match minute, Fowey FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deon Rice to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Fowey FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
