The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Alparslan Ruhsat made the kick off in the second half. Đông Á Thanh Hóa FC's Trần Bay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alparslan Ruhsat in the 51st minute of play. Mustafa Ekrem Kalgay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hồ Mai in the 54th minute of play. The supporters of Đông Á Thanh Hóa FC booed when ÇAN SPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berat Afşar didn't get a good kick on the ball.
