In the 32nd minute, 温志康 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When 莫康宁 came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the 风卷残云 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 莫康宁 couldn't finish the play. In the 38th match minute, Đông Á Thanh Hóa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hồ Mai to maneuver through the defense. 于升超 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The 风卷残云 fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when 风卷残云's 于升超 looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that 莫康宁's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Trần Bay was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Nguyễn Huy spun around in front of the goal 65 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of 风卷残云's goal. In the 66th minute Lê Minh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 江岚霖 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute of the match, 于升超 got a very nice opportunity to score, but Trần Bay was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by 温志康 in the 69th minute of play forced Đông Á Thanh Hóa FC's goalkeeper Trần Bay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when 于升超 got free with Trần Bay in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Trần Bay was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and 莫康宁 capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. 莫康宁 really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. 75 minutes into the match, 风卷残云's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Huy came free, but 江岚霖 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, 陶威翔 was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 风卷残云's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Đông Á Thanh Hóa FC the free kick. 陶威翔 hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. But to his dismay, 于升超 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. 莫康宁 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Trần Bay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Trần Bay managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when 风卷残云's 于升超 fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If 温志康 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trịnh Thanh Bình in the 97th minute of play forced 风卷残云's goalkeeper 江岚霖 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Đông Á Thanh Hóa FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. 风卷残云 were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
