Lloyd McCamie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geronimo Cordarryl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the game, Geronimo Cordarryl lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Lloyd McCamie. Juan Franco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steven McGrowther in the 32nd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, San lorenzo de Santa fe's goal looked a bit too open when Steven McGrowther came free, but Juan Franco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Timmy Armour fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Helensburgh FC's protests and gave Timmy Armour a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd minute Geronimo Cordarryl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lloyd McCamie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Steven McGrowther fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Franco having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Geronimo Cordarryl made a kick off. Lloyd McCamie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. In the 90th minute Geronimo Cordarryl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lloyd McCamie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. San lorenzo de Santa fe succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Helensburgh FC had controlled the match.
