Arnold Koops hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 9 minutes into the match, Burgh HC's goal looked a bit too open when Miles McKinnell came free, but Alex Toolenaar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steven McGrowther received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Alex Toolenaar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steven McGrowther in the 18th minute of play forced Burgh HC's goalkeeper Alex Toolenaar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Timmy Armour hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Steven McGrowther fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Toolenaar having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Steven McGrowther managed to get in a good position for a shot. Helensburgh FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Steven McGrowther was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Toolenaar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 36th minute Steven McGrowther shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Toolenaar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henk Paauwe hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steven McGrowther in the 40th minute of play forced Burgh HC's goalkeeper Alex Toolenaar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Toolenaar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steven McGrowther, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Job Wieringh hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Helensburgh FC's Simon Bowmaker quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hans-Cees Janssens, made in the 44th minute of the game. If Simon Bowmaker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Miles McKinnell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alex Toolenaar having to make a save. After 46 minutes, Miles McKinnell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Helensburgh FC and the Burgh HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Helensburgh FC's Miles McKinnell got a free kick in the 46th minute.

In the 51st minute Steven McGrowther shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Toolenaar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Reinhard Bas in the 53rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Helensburgh FC's Timmy Armour. Burgh HC's Alex Toolenaar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steven McGrowther in the 82nd minute of play. Alex Toolenaar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steven McGrowther, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Helensburgh FC booed when Burgh HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Job Wieringh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Connor McIlzegowie's late challenge caught a Burgh HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Connor McIlzegowie helped the player get up and apologised. Connor McIlzegowie kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Henk Paauwe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Lloyd McCamie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Helensburgh FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
