Cere's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Sacha Hardwick 18 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Adrian Claydon took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Codrin Vrabie to make any attempt to save it. Laurențiu Unchiaşu hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolae Plopșor in the 30th minute of play forced K.S.V Waregem's goalkeeper Toby Topham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the game, K.S.V Waregem's Sacha Hardwick nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Codrin Vrabie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Codrin Vrabie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Claydon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. K.S.V Waregem's Matty Bridge got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Sacha Hardwick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sacha Hardwick in the 39th minute of play forced Cere's goalkeeper Codrin Vrabie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sacha Hardwick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Codrin Vrabie having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Cere's goal looked a bit too open when Sacha Hardwick came free, but Codrin Vrabie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, K.S.V Waregem's Mitch Leach got a free kick in the 59th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sacha Hardwick in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Codrin Vrabie saved Cere from getting behind. K.S.V Waregem's Trevor Kempson got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Codrin Vrabie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Claydon in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of Cere booed when K.S.V Waregem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brian Barat didn't get a good kick on the ball.
