Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bruce Adams took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Fowey FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Nicholas Joynes hit a great ball. David Beckett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fowey FC's Jamie Berryman managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Johnny McKinlay in the 18 minute of the game. Bruce Adams fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mickey Bramble having to interfere. Ian McGugan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Mickey Bramble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fowey FC's Mickey Bramble played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruce Adams in the 29th minute of play. Derek Lorne's shot from long distance in the 36th minute was not bad at all, but Fowey FC's Mickey Bramble knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Nicholas Joynes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aiden McDaniell having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicholas Joynes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aiden McDaniell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicholas Joynes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 53 minutes, Nicholas Joynes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fowey FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicholas Joynes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th match minute, Leith United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian McGugan to maneuver through the defense. Leith United's Paul Beattie managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Daryl Sissons in the 58 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruce Adams in the 59th minute of play forced Fowey FC's goalkeeper Mickey Bramble to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Johnny Kinnieson during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 60 played minutes Leith United got a freekick which was hit by Johnny Kinnieson. In the 62nd minute, Leith United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nat Connor fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 64th minute, Fowey FC's Nicholas Joynes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aiden McDaniell. Aiden McDaniell yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. In the 69th minute Bruce Adams shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mickey Bramble saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 69 played minutes Fowey FC got a freekick which was hit by Daryl Sissons. 72 minutes in the game Daryl Sissons did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ron Stonehouse. 74 minutes into the match, Fowey FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bruce Adams came free, but Mickey Bramble reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Fowey FC's Ron Stonehouse got a free kick in the 74th minute. Johnny McKinlay kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Ian McGugan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Mickey Bramble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicholas Joynes in the 86th minute of play forced Leith United's goalkeeper Aiden McDaniell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leith United's Steve McCondy got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bruce Adams kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Nat Connor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fowey FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nat Connor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aiden McDaniell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. David Beckett scored 2-2 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aiden McDaniell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Leith United players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
