Aiden McDaniell acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 7th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Dilmen Direnç. Paul Beattie charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paul Beattie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Leith United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 9th minute. Penalty! The supporters of Leith United booed when ÇAN SPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Halil Utku Kutlubay didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind ÇAN SPOR's goalkeeper Mustafa Ekrem Kalgay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Bruce Adams had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alparslan Ruhsat struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Aiden McDaniell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ÇAN SPOR. When Johnny Kinnieson came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Leith United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johnny Kinnieson couldn't finish the play. Alparslan Ruhsat struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Aiden McDaniell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ÇAN SPOR. Aiden McDaniell made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Alparslan Ruhsat sent off a good shot on target. Bruce Adams received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Mustafa Ekrem Kalgay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ian McGugan might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mustafa Ekrem Kalgay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ian McGugan ran back to his position shaking his head. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alparslan Ruhsat to make the kick off. Bayındır Mehmet Unan's late challenge caught a Leith United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bayındır Mehmet Unan helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Leith United's Robbie Gemmil got a free kick in the 61st minute. 66 minutes into the match, Bayındır Mehmet Unan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aiden McDaniell. Leith United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bayındır Mehmet Unan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Alparslan Ruhsat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Aiden McDaniell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mustafa Ekrem Kalgay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruce Adams, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Johnny Kinnieson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, one of Leith United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Leith United. A collision led to ÇAN SPOR getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Bayındır Mehmet Unan hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind ÇAN SPOR's goalkeeper Mustafa Ekrem Kalgay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 94 minutes into the game, Evan Foulis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leith United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ÇAN SPOR the free kick. After 94 played minutes Leith United got a freekick which was hit by Evan Foulis. Aiden McDaniell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alparslan Ruhsat in the 95th minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. ÇAN SPOR were victorious despite being under pressure from Leith United for much of the match.
