Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Brian Rose made the kick off which started today's match. Brian Rose fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Franco having to interfere. 4 minutes into the game, Cecilio Aurre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San lorenzo de Santa fe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gainsborough FC the free kick. Brian Rose received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Juan Franco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Brian Rose had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute, Geronimo Cordarryl made a precise shot to the right of Freddie Cousens. Gainsborough FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Tristan Routledge kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Juan Franco. That made the score 1-1 in the 19 minute of play. Geronimo Cordarryl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gainsborough FC's Freddie Cousens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillermo Gonsalve in the 24th minute of play. Juan Franco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brian Rose in the 28th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the game, Rio Abbotts cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Juan Franco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Brian Rose had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Franco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brian Rose in the 34th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Gainsborough FC's Maurice Bryant got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 45th minute Brian Rose shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Franco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of San lorenzo de Santa fe booed when Gainsborough FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jake Trimble didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When Maurice Bryant fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gainsborough FC's protests and gave Maurice Bryant a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of San lorenzo de Santa fe booed when Gainsborough FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurice Bryant didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute of the match, Geronimo Cordarryl tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Freddie Cousens saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gavino Boniel hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Juan Franco came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Gainsborough FC's Brian Rose. But to his dismay, Brian Rose quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. When Brian Rose came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Gainsborough FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brian Rose couldn't finish the play. After 82 played minutes San lorenzo de Santa fe got a freekick which was hit by Gavino Boniel. 87 minutes into the match, San lorenzo de Santa fe's goal looked a bit too open when Brian Rose came free, but Juan Franco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brian Rose scored 5-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Franco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gainsborough FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
