Nicolae Plopșor might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aiden McDaniell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicolae Plopșor ran back to his position shaking his head. Codrin Vrabie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruce Adams, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Bruce Adams was extremely unlucky when he, in the 14th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruce Adams in the 21st minute of play forced Cere's goalkeeper Codrin Vrabie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruce Adams received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Codrin Vrabie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toader Bacanu kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Derek Lorne took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Codrin Vrabie. Cere's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 37thth minute of the game Bruce Adams who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cere's Codrin Vrabie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Codrin Vrabie had great luck who in the 38thth minute grab hold of the ball when Bruce Adams from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Codrin Vrabie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruce Adams, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cere's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Derek Lorne scored to the left of an out of position Codrin Vrabie, making the score, 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucian Huțupan was the one to do the kick off. When Bruce Adams came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Leith United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruce Adams couldn't finish the play. Codrin Vrabie didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bruce Adams went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Lucian Huțupan's late challenge caught a Leith United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucian Huțupan helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cere's Lucian Huțupan got a free kick in the 60th minute. Derek Lorne's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Codrin Vrabie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. The supporters of Leith United booed when Cere was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toader Bacanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Cere's goal looked a bit too open when Ian McGugan came free, but Codrin Vrabie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute Bruce Adams shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Codrin Vrabie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Codrin Vrabie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruce Adams in the 70th minute of play. Eusebiu Doman made in the 75th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Lucian Huțupan however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruce Adams in the 80th minute of play forced Cere's goalkeeper Codrin Vrabie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee gave Leith United a penalty, 84 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Derek Lorne, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cere's Codrin Vrabie. 3-0. Bruce Adams's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Codrin Vrabie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Cere's zone, Bruce Adams stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Codrin Vrabie came out of the goal and Bruce Adams tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ian McGugan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Cere defense, Bruce Adams kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Codrin Vrabie. The Cere fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Codrin Vrabie should have stopped the shot.
