Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Quim Barreiros kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute, Paulo Velasques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elias Rocha hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. When the match had been going on for 4 minutes Filinto Ferro shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Almiro Setúbal when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. Almiro Setúbal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aquiles Duarte went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 11th minute, U21 Portugal's Paulo Velasques dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Portugal's goalkeeper Almiro Setúbal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Golo Duarte in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Almiro Setúbal saved U21 Portugal from getting behind. 15 minutes in the game, Golo Duarte dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 20thth minute of the game Golo Duarte who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Portugal's Almiro Setúbal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pablo Vegetti took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Almiro Setúbal. Almiro Setúbal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 32nd minute of the match Filinto Ferro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Almiro Setúbal skillfully saved the ball. In the 34th minute, Victor Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Golo Duarte put it in 2-4 from a short distance just to the right of Almiro Setúbal. After 42 played minutes CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land got a freekick which was hit by Gar Galo. Duarte Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quim Barreiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Ulisses Duarte hit a great ball. The U21 Portugal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land were winning 2-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Golo Duarte to make the kick off. Almiro Setúbal stood somewhat misplaced when Pablo Vegetti came free in front of goal and shot 2-5 to the left of him in the 53 minute. A hard shot 56 in the game by Golo Duarte from a close distance when the talented Almiro Setúbal managed to make a qualified save. U21 Portugal's players were relieved. The supporters of U21 Portugal booed when CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gar Galo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pablo Vegetti got free with Almiro Setúbal in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Almiro Setúbal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pablo Vegetti in the 66th minute. U21 Portugal's Norberto Henriques was substituted for Germano Saraiva. CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land made a substitution. Rodolfo Lencastre replaced Pablo Vegetti. U21 Portugal made a substitution. Ronaldo Pinheiro replaced Quim Barreiros. A collision led to CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Paulo Duarte hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's Golo Duarte dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-6. After 78 minutes, Ronaldo Nunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Portugal and the CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 78 played minutes U21 Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldo Nunes. Filinto Ferro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvano Furtado's late challenge caught a CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvano Furtado helped the player get up and apologised. Silvano Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Golo Duarte got free with Almiro Setúbal in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 86 minutes into the match, U21 Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Golo Duarte came free, but Almiro Setúbal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filinto Ferro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, Almiro Setúbal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Almiro Setúbal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Golo Duarte in the 91st minute of the match. CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land played a much better game than U21 Portugal and deserved their victory. The U21 Portugal players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
