Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Quim Barreiros made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, U21 Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Lencastre came free, but Almiro Setúbal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Almiro Setúbal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Lencastre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Lencastre in the 8th minute of play forced U21 Portugal's goalkeeper Almiro Setúbal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 minutes U21 Portugal's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gustavo Brás who took care of the corner kick. Gustavo Brás made a great header on CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's corner, it was just that U21 Portugal's Almiro Setúbal managed to reach the ball for a save. Almiro Setúbal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Lencastre in the 11th minute of play. Ulisses Duarte took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Almiro Setúbal. Almiro Setúbal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Rodolfo Lencastre hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute Olavo Eiró shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olavo Eiró in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duarte Duarte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 21st match minute, U21 Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Velasques to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Velasques in the 24th minute of play forced CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's goalkeeper Duarte Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulisses Duarte came free with the goalkeeper in the 27th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Almiro Setúbal could save by the left post. After 28 played minutes U21 Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Velasques. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Lencastre in the 35th minute of play forced U21 Portugal's goalkeeper Almiro Setúbal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of U21 Portugal booed when CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kürşat Aktaş didn't get a good kick on the ball. 38 minutes into the match, CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's goal looked a bit too open when Olavo Eiró came free, but Duarte Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, U21 Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Aquiles Duarte came free, but Almiro Setúbal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Almiro Setúbal came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's Aquiles Duarte. But to his dismay, Aquiles Duarte quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. With an all-out effort, CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's Almiro Setúbal threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rodolfo Lencastre, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 45th minute of the match, Rodolfo Lencastre tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Almiro Setúbal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Almiro Setúbal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Lencastre, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Almiro Setúbal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Lencastre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodolfo Lencastre in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Almiro Setúbal saved U21 Portugal from getting behind. In the 61st minute, Rodolfo Lencastre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Almiro Setúbal came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's Golo Duarte. But to his dismay, Golo Duarte quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. If Rodolfo Lencastre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 66th minute Golo Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almiro Setúbal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Victor Sousa fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Portugal's protests and gave Victor Sousa a yellow card for diving instead. Victor Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. U21 Portugal's Almiro Setúbal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Lencastre in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Rodolfo Lencastre ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Almiro Setúbal was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. U21 Portugal's Almiro Setúbal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulisses Duarte in the 77th minute of play. Almiro Setúbal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. U21 Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
