Rafael Manilan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steve Oliver in the 4th minute of the match. Des Gill scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rafael Manilan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 16th minute, Norbert Idoux hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafael Manilan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Farmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute Des Gill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Manilan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Manilan came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Mayo's Samuel Farmer. But to his dismay, Samuel Farmer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The supporters of Mayo booed when Ménétrol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Jimenez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rafael Manilan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Des Gill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael Manilan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steve Oliver, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Jimenez in the 47th minute of play forced Mayo's goalkeeper Marcus Deacon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Des Gill stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Ménétrol's goalkeeper Rafael Manilan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steve Oliver. Marcus Deacon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Journet, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Rafael Manilan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Des Gill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Ménétrol's Rafael Manilan got control of the ball when Des Gill tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mayo's Will Porter was substituted for Samuel Farmer. 72 minutes into the game, Steve Oliver recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rafael Manilan. Steve Oliver showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Steve Oliver got free with Rafael Manilan in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 78thth minute of the game Des Gill who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ménétrol's Rafael Manilan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lemuel Epperson in the 80th minute of play forced Mayo's goalkeeper Marcus Deacon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcus Deacon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lemuel Epperson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael Manilan made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Nathanial Pitts sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute, Éloi Reymann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Ménétrol's Éloi Reymann got a free kick in the 90th minute. With a little luck, Ménétrol's Rafael Manilan got control of the ball when Steve Oliver tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Ménétrol booed when Mayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glyn Smith didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Albert Journet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ménétrol's supporters rose to their feet, but Albert Journet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcus Deacon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mayo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
