Mayo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Prudencio Benino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Samuel Farmer to strike the kick off in the second half. Prudencio Benino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Marcus Deacon made a huge save. In the 95th minute Steve Oliver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Roma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
