Enol Soto scored 2-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yuriy Podkopalov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Yuriy Podkopalov stood somewhat misplaced when Marco Saez came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 23 minute. After 36 minutes of play, Alicante FC's Enol Soto made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yuriy Podkopalov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Yuriy Podkopalov was a little too slow when Enol Soto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 7-0. In the 47th minute, Kiko Castelao ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yuriy Podkopalov was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 8-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kiko Castelao stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mustafá Carceles kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ireno Quesada during the 60th minute.
